No expense was spared in the construction and finish quality of these steel gas tanks. They feature joggle lap and lap joints through out, resulting in a super-strong gas tank without the worry of compromising the structural strength while providing a smooth surface finish. The joggle lap joints also allow the tunnel plate to be sunken below the bottom surface of the tank, making grinding of the welds unnecessary. Tank is mounted to the frame using the supplied weld-on frame brackets, which feature a recessed rubber mounting system to isolate the tank from vibrations. Tank has 22 1/4" length with a 19 1/4" long, 3 1/2" wide tunnel and a 3" deep seat pocket. Holds approx. 4 Gallon (15,1L.) of fuel. Comes complete with mounting hardware and features 13/16" (22mm) petcock outlet, breather tube and rear gas crossovers tapped for 1/8"-27 NPT unions. Available for use with both 1982 thru 1995 and 1996 thru 2009 stock screw-in style gas cap. Gas cap is not included but must be ordered separately. Tanks for screw-in style gas caps are available in mild steel, as well as in 304 quality stainless steel.
